World Impact is a nationwide, interdenominational, Christian discipling and church-planting ministry dedicated to ministering God’s love in the inner cities of America. See About WI

Church planting is biblically and strategically the best way to accomplish our goal of reaching the inner city for Christ.

World Impact is an interdenominational Christian missions organization which ministers in American inner cities. We are a missions organization because we minister to the unchurched, minister cross-culturally and establish indigenous churches. See About WI

Prayer is the backbone of our ministry. We would appreciate all your prayers. For ideas of what to pray for please see our monthly bulletins. Please also fill out our contact form and we will send you a name of a missionary who you can pray for.

We have approximately 250 career and short-term missionaries serving in the inner city and at our camps. Approximately 30 additional people support our missionaries through their work as secretaries, accountants, sales personnel in our thrift stores, vocational training managers, data entry clerks and more.

Initially by invitation. Currently, we respond to cities which meet general criteria, including forming a local board, establishing supporting churches, recruiting initial staff and raising the initial budget.

All staff are involved in raising their financial support through the donations of churches, businesses, friends, family members and other individuals. This money covers staff living expenses, medical insurance, retirement or social security, and other expenses.

0% to administration, 100% to ministry, assuming the gift is designated.
In other words, if a gift is designated to a missionary, a local ministry or
a project, 100% of the funds are applied as designated. World Impact
specifically raises money for administration. From time to time the ministry engages in special fundraising appeals. In such instances, fund raising costs (name acquisition, printing, postage, etc.) may be covered, all or in part, by gifts received from such special appeals.

Yes. Each year we are audited by a certified public accounting firm. Copies of the audit report are available upon request from the National Office.

Costs for single missionaries average $1250 per month for salary, retirement, medical and dental insurance, and other expenses. Costs for a family of five average $3400 for the same benefits.

  • Written statement of evangelical faith
  • Governed by a board of at least 5 non-staff people
  • Independently audited in accordance with generally accepted accounting
  • Principles (GAAP) or generally accepted accounting standards (GAAS)

  • Audit committee reporting to the board
  • Activities are conducted with high standards of financial integrity
  • Compliance with ECFA standards of Fund Raising (available upon request)

weeks of ministry outreach and community service.
