Morning Star Ranch is World Impact’s Christian training center for inner-city young men ages 18-25. Additionally, it serves as one of World Impact’s camping facilities. The facilities are available to other Christian groups.

This beautiful 560-acre facility was purchased in 1981. It is located in Florence, Kansas, 65 miles northeast of Wichita.

Facilities include accommodations for eight full-time students and three missionary families. There are overnight summer camp facilities for 72 campers and a year-round retreat lodge for 40. A dining room that seats 120 and a meeting room that seats 110 are available to retreat and camp groups.

Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, a basketball/tennis court, a sand volleyball area, a horseshoe pit, hiking trails, biking trails, a baseball/softball diamond, playground equipment, and a park area for games. Canoeing on the Cottonwood River that runs directly through the Ranch property is a favorite past-time.

Following the example of Jesus and in the spirit of 2 Timothy 2:2, the Ranch disciples young men from inner cities across America. These young men are prepared to assume roles of servant leadership in their families; in their place of vocation; in their community; and in their churches. Means of developing servant leadership are Bible teaching, one-on-one relationships, vocational training, academic training, sports, and hands-on ministry.

In response to Matthew 28: 18-20, the Ranch serves inner cities by providing camping opportunities for children and youth. The primary goals of the camps are relationship building, evangelism, spiritual growth, and wholesome fun. To share the Ranch’s heart for inner cities, its facilities are made available to all followers of Christ.
