Los Angeles Office

Los Angeles CityThe office of the Los Angeles ministry of World Impact is located in South Central Los Angeles at 20th Street and Vermont Avenue about a mile north of the University of Southern California.

Our community, notorious for the riots of April, 1992, is approximately 40 percent African-American and 60 percent Latino. More than 40 missionaries are bringing Christ's hope to this community.

Our ministry is wholistic--we minister to the whole person.

Watts Office

World Impact has ministered in Watts since the early 1970's. Our Ministry Center is located in the California community made famous by the 1965 riots.

  • Imperial Courts Housing Projects: Our three-story Christian Ministry Center is located on the corner of Imperial Hwy and Grape Street. The first two floors housed the Watts Christian School which was open 1994-2004. The top floor has two apartments, our offices, a fellowship meeting room and a game room. We have Bible studies here throughout the week for all ages; and other outreaches are also here. We distribute boxes of food to those in need monthly.
  • Pueblo Del Rio: This community is predominately Hispanic. As a result, we are planting a Hispanic church in this community through a partnership with El Camino-Oikos Church. They are utilizing our Pueblo Ministry Center to conduct their church services, youth night and other ministry activities.

Los Angeles Church plants:

  • KidJefferson Community (northwest of USC): reaches our local neighborhood with Bible clubs for children, adult Bible studies, and prayer groups.
  • South Park, On 50th Street and San Pedro Ave. We have a home Bible Study, ESL classes, guitar classes, and tutoring.
  • Transformations Church of Hollywood among the urban poor of Southeast Hollywood.
  • Watts Powerhouse newest church plant team in the Imperial Courts projects area of Watts. Lead by Pastor Todd Grant.
  • Youth Church meets bi-weekly for worship, Bible study and service projects.

Christian Schools:

Los Angeles Christian Schools: Elementary & Middle School

LACS completed its 20th year of building character, competence, and confidence into our students. We prepare students academically, emotionally, and spiritually to graduate into top high schools.

    1. To provide quality clothing and household goods to our neighbors at reasonable prices
    2. Minister Christ's love to the community. They have Bible study/prayer group for store customers and are always willing to pray for any customer who needs prayer. God has done awesome things through this ministry. To donate clothing or household goods, email The Sonshine Shop:
