Los Angeles Office
The office of the Los Angeles ministry of World Impact is located in South Central Los Angeles at 20th Street and Vermont Avenue about a mile north of the University of Southern California.
Our community, notorious for the riots of April, 1992, is approximately 40 percent African-American and 60 percent Latino. More than 40 missionaries are bringing Christ's hope to this community.
Our ministry is wholistic--we minister to the whole person.
Watts Office
World Impact has ministered in Watts since the early 1970's. Our Ministry Center is located in the California community made famous by the 1965 riots.
- Imperial Courts Housing Projects: Our three-story Christian Ministry Center is located on the corner of Imperial Hwy and Grape Street. The
first two floors housed the Watts Christian School which was
open 1994-2004. The top floor has two apartments, our offices,
a fellowship meeting room and a game room. We have Bible studies
here throughout the week for all ages; and other outreaches are
also here. We distribute boxes of food to those in need monthly.
- Pueblo Del Rio: This community is predominately Hispanic. As a result, we are planting a Hispanic church in this community through a partnership with El Camino-Oikos Church. They are utilizing our Pueblo Ministry Center to conduct their church services, youth night and other ministry activities.
Los Angeles Church plants:
Jefferson Community (northwest of USC): reaches our local neighborhood with Bible clubs for children, adult Bible studies, and prayer groups.
