Title: Director of Adult and Family Ministries
Reports to: Executive Director.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the overall development, administration, staffing and execution of the adult and family conference programs for World Impact ministries at The Oaks Camp and Conference Center.
Assist and support Dr. Jack Hayford (Dean of the Adult and Family Ministries) as needed.

TASKS PERFORMED:

  • Project long range operational needs associated with Adult and Family programs at The Oaks..
  • Develop Program Ministries; includes curriculum, marketing, budget and conference program.
    • Inner-city Ministries.
      • Family camps. Christ-centered family vacations for those otherwise unable.
      • Survivors of Senseless Acts of Violence conferences.
      • Family First Conferences: Equipping urban parents to build Christian homes.
      • Speciality conferences: Father/son, Mother/daughter, etc.
      • Holiday celebrations: building positive family memories centered around
        Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter.
      • New church plants and church-plant team conferences.
    • Church Ministries.
      • Conference and retreat needs of churches and Christian schools.
      • Bible and missions conferences.
      • Pastors' retreats and conferences.
      • Summer Institute for cross-cultural church planting (mini Crowns of Beauty).
      • Prayer conferences and pastors' retreat center.
      • Business executives conferences.
  • Communication to World Impact missionaries to formulate programs to meet their needs.
  • Assist and host guest groups with their conferences.
  • Work with guest relations, accommodations and food service departments to assure readiness of facilities.
  • Coordinate Adult and Family programs with Youth programs.
  • Assist in presenting ministry to local churches and community leaders.
  • Assist with fund raising for World Impact conferences.

REQUIREMENTS FOR EMPLOYMENT:

  • Dedicated evangelical Christian, seeking to walk in God's way through a commitment to
    spiritual growth in Christ, prayer and study of the scriptures, personal purity and the Church.
  • In agreement with World Impact's Affirmation of Faith and Affirmation of Christian
    Commitment.
  • Desire and ability to work in a camp setting.
  • A self-starter and organizer.
  • Skilled in administration and communication.
  • Skilled in leadership of staff and problem solving.
  • Raises and maintains a prayer and financial support team to cover expenses.
