Why Plant More Churches with Pastor Samuel Mazuri

A couple of months ago I wrote about how World Impact follows the model of the Macedonian Call (Acts 16:6-10) when it comes to establishing international ministry partners. In short, when someone reaches out to us, requesting training or resources, we do what we can to help. This cultivates a reliance on the Holy Spirit, grounds us in lasting relationships , and has an incredible impact for the Kingdom. The 2022 Evangel Gathering was a clear demonstration of this.

Leaders of church-planting movements from all over the world flew in for the Evangel Gathering. Bangladeshi, Tanzanian, Haitian, and American church planters from across the US gathered, focused on ways to implement apprenticeships to grow and expand the impact of their ministries.

Though their schedules were packed with sessions and meetings, the leaders were kind enough to step aside to introduce themselves on video and answer this foundational question, “Why plant more churches?” Their responses are diverse and so encouraging! We will be releasing more of these in the coming weeks, but I’ve included a pre-released version from Pastor Samuel Mazuri of Tanzania.

Testimonies like Samuel’s are a reminder of the vital role that local churches serve in communities of poverty around the world. Thank you again for your prayers and support as we pursue the Great Commission.
