Recently, World Impact Dallas missionary, Sol Herrera coordinated the first Dallas Iglesia del Maestro Women’s Retreat. The theme of the retreat was LIBERADAS: Llenas de Poder para Vivir en Libertad (RELEASED: Empowered to Live Free). A total of 46 women attended.
The guest speaker, Diana Rusinique, brought the powerful word of God. She taught from the book of Esther and shared that in our journey through life, the Lord will lead us through many processes to help us grow. The women raised their hands and prayed in unison that the Lord would break the chains that bind them from drawing near to Him. Diana spoke truth over the women and prayed for them to be released. As the women walked from the cabin to the dining hall and shared meals at long tables, many new friendships were formed!
Maryory Pridgen shared her testimony on Saturday afternoon. She shared how the Lord brought her from the pit of despair and pain in drug addiction into life in Christ. Her raw honesty touched the women and the prayers that continued were heartfelt. Fatima taught the women how to make a charm bracelet. Nani and her friends volunteered their time to lead the women in worship. It was truly a sisterhood of women coming together to make this retreat possible!
Throughout the conference, the women wrote things in their life they wanted to be free from on balloons. On the last day of the conference the women released the balloons symbolizing letting go of those chains. Great freedom was experienced and chains were broken!
