Dear Family and Friends,
Happy summer! We are getting ready for our end of the year activities at Los Angeles Christian School (LACS). Fifth grade has a big culmination ceremony, celebrating the end of the student’s elementary school years. We put on a big show for our families and friends, remembering fun times in each grade, and celebrating our teachers and parents who have helped us through the beginning years of our education. My class is getting so excited for this big event, and is feeling excited and a little nervous about starting their middle school years. I am looking forward to summer break, getting some rest, and changing the rhythm of life for a bit.
This year our culmination theme is “Under the Sea Mystery.” The class wanted to do a detective/mystery theme, but also wanted under the sea decorations, so we combined the two to come up with our theme. We will do a skit during our ceremony where all the students are finding clues to solve the mystery of the missing diplomas, which they need in order to leave elementary school. They will find clues to help them locate the lost diplomas by remembering special events from each grade. This class is full of great actors who are looking forward to shining in their roles as under the sea detectives.
Please pray with me for this class! I am feeling good about the end of the year activities, but I need patience and God’s love to come through me for these kids. I am very proud of the hard work they have done this year, and I know they will continue to do great things in middle school, high school and the years beyond. Please pray that each one will choose a life that honors and glorifies God, and that they will be lights in this dark world.
Thank you for praying with me for my class. I am looking forward to a new group in just a few months, but I am also enjoying the last few weeks I have with this group.
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
Love,
Jessica
