Journey of Faith
How do you train leaders for ministry work in the city and what do they look like? They look like the men that came out for our leadership retreat this fall just outside of Wichita.

Last month we had the blessing of hosting the Arboleda family who are originally from Colombia. They came to our church Iglesia Del Maestro when Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August 2005.
Recently thirteen teams representing twelve denominations were certified by TUMI/World Impact to train and equip church plant teams from and for the urban poor.
What you see is a part of your story; a story utterly unique to you, yet inexplicably intertwined with the stories of those around you.
I recently returned from a 3-day trip to Kansas where I was recertified as a Dean for the Evangel School of Urban Church Planting.
“Can I bring a group of boys to do some volunteer work at Morning Star Ranch next week?”
Before having my surgery in August to remove a kidney tumor, the Lord granted me the opportunity to complete the tasks/goals He had given me to do for the summer months of 2018.
After we returned from our Sabbatical in early August, Lisa and I were privileged again to participate in World Impact’s Evangel School of Urban Church Planting Dean Training.
One of the ways we empower urban leaders is through church planting.
I never cease to be amazed by the strength, dignity and perseverance of women who have endured much hardship in this lifetime.
A few months back I met with Beni Santibanez for lunch when I was in Wichita, KS, for a work visit. Beni is an artist who recorded some music with TUMI Productions.
Our TUMI (The Urban Ministry Institute) class is a perfect example of the diverse field of leaders wanting to be trained.
