Cristo Victorioso

Greetings Brothers and Sisters! My name is David Carrillo and I’m the pastor at Cristo Victorioso in Wichita, KS. I am originally from Guatemala City, but I moved to Wichita with my wife Lauren five years ago. We have been blessed with the opportunity to do vocational ministry full-time and love serving the Hispanic community in our city. We have two young daughters, Hazel and Iris, who also keep us very busy!

Cristo Victorioso is a Spanish-speaking congregation that meets in the heart of our city. God has given us the vision to develop healthy marriages and families in order to have a healthy church that reflects the image of God to our children and the community around us. Satan has attacked marriages for too long and we are taking ground back that he has stolen, in the name of Jesus!

As pastors, we often go through many ups and downs with the people in our church, and we tend to carry their burdens as we pray for them and counsel them. Through hard and heavy times the Lord has faithfully reminded me of his words in Matthew 11, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” God constantly reminds me to place those burdens at his feet so that he can carry us all through hard times.

One of the greatest blessings for me as a pastor has been the love, support, prayer, and encouragement I have received as a result of being a part of the Associate program with World Impact. The wealth of knowledge and resources made available to me has greatly impacted our church, allowing us to disciple and train up great leaders. It has been wonderful to have leaders from World Impact to share and process with during difficult times, celebrate during good times, and brainstorm ideas to help grow our church for the sake of the Gospel.
