A few teachers at Los Angeles Christian School gathered their classes and asked their students some questions.

Who is your favorite person in the Bible?

“Esther, because she was very brave when she saved her own kind by going up to the king and saying that she was Jewish and he was going to kill her family.” –Rebecca, fifth grade

“Caleb, because he was a sneaky spy helper in the Promised Land.” – Jorge, kindergarten

“Samuel is my favorite person in the Bible. From his birth he was destined for God. His birth was a miracle, he lived in the tabernacle, and he became a huge prophet.” –Jasmine, middle school

“Jesus, because he created us and took our sins away from us if we ask for forgiveness.” –Andrea, fifth grade

What do you want to be when you grow up?

“I want to become a lawyer because my parents say I am great a contradicting things.” –Cynthia, middle school

“A teacher, because you get to eat good food like cupcakes! And you get to be in charge.” –Tori, kindergarten

“I want to be a doctor because when someone has a really bad cancer and there is no way to help them, I can tell them there is a Healer and Savior who can heal them.” –Adrien, middle school

“I want to be a teacher, and teach no higher than 5th grade because I love kids and I love to teach. I started to teach when I was 5 or 6 with my Bible study kids.” –Isabella, fifth grade

“I want to be a pastor who helps other get closer to God. I will preach and inspire people with the Bible.” –Tre, middle school

What is your favorite book?

“Spiderman and Jesus books.” –Carlos, kindergarten

“My favorite book is The Magical Journey of Edward Tulane. I like this book because I read and saw how Edward was loved and lost but he didn’t care until he felt it and met very different people. He was on an adventure and learned to love in the hard times.” –Hazel, fifth grade

The Outsiders because in it I learned how it is okay to be yourself.” – Eduardo, middle school
