We are happy to announce that we are welcoming our second resident into the Siafu Leadership Home in Chester, PA. Stephen Rizzo, a student of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) for the past three years, will move into the home this month.
Wilmington is a city in Delaware located between Washington, D.C. and New York City. Wilmington has a reputation of being a “rough city” with high crime, unemployment, and drug addiction.

Elwood Jones is the lead pastor for the Landmark Church of Alexandria.
When churches look to raise up new leaders, they typically look for bright and young students coming out of seminary or individuals who have demonstrated a clear call to ministry under the supervision of a seasoned pastor within the walls of a structured church environment.
As the year wraps up, we want to highlight what God has done in each region of World Impact, particularly in the realm of our new Focus Areas. Here’s a summary of 2014 from the East Coast.
Our colleague, Gustavo Delgado (TUMI Satellite Administrator), volunteered to drive my wife Cathy and I to the first graduation of The Urban Ministry Institute in this prison, honoring a man named Albert.
Almost every day, I find myself reciting 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
In June, more than 60 local pastors and church leaders met at Mt. Olive Baptist Church to be encouraged by World Impact President Efrem Smith and to learn more about TUMI Chester.
Seventeen years ago, a World Impact church plant in Newark started the King’s Kids Bible Club. It continues as a ministry of World Impact today.
On June 12, Newark Christian School held its first eighth-grade graduation.
