Dear Praying Partners,
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and generous support! I am so thankful to the Lord for each of you and am always grateful for the way He moves as you pray! You are greatly appreciated!
Last spring my neighbor Sofia* asked if I would do a Bible study with her mom, Bianca*. Bianca had been part of a demonic religion for 11 years but was seeing the difference Jesus was making in her daughter's life and was also being influenced for the Lord by her grandchildren who attend Newark Christian School. Of course I was delighted to do this!
Sofia came with her mom and the first night while I was learning from Bianca about her involvement in the Santeria and sharing from the Word, she popped the question, “Well how does a person get into Heaven?” I asked if she really had the time then to hear and she was eager. At the end she asked that if she were to receive Jesus, would this mean she would have to give up all her Santeria objects. I told her yes but that she could look to the Lord for the help to do that. I encouraged her to cry out to the Lord to show her His truth.
When Bianca came back the next week she shared that she had called the woman over her in the Santeria and told her she was leaving the religion and becoming a Christian. She prayed that night to put her trust in Christ and by the next week several of us were with her as she destroyed all her religious objects and denounced all involvement with that religion. Since then, Bianca has come each week for Bible study, re-arranged her work schedule so that she is able to attend church at World Impact's Christian Transformation Church, and was baptized this summer along with her daughter and three of her grandchildren! What a joy it has been to see the Lord working so mightily in Bianca and in her family. Do join me in praising Him!
- Please pray for Bianca to become deeply grounded in the Lord, to grow in her love for Him and to walk more and more in obedience to Him.
- Please pray for her son Miguel and his wife Ana to come to put their trust in Jesus. Pray for Bianca to be a loving witness to them of the reality of Jesus!
