The Seminary of Urban Leadership (SOUL), in collaboration with World Impact, has been training people in communities experiencing poverty to lead churches in Topeka, Kansas.
The organization is led by Mary Flin, the Dean of SOUL and a World Impact representative, who realized that the church needed more leaders within high-poverty environments, such as the inner city of Topeka, and neighborhoods beyond Topeka into the capital city.
Mary has faithfully delivered our Church-Based Seminary education for years, and hosts Sunday dinners for her neighborhood, which is seeing many people from different walks of life show up and build relationships with each other.
